According to <www.mipasaje.com> , Santa Rosa flag is yellow over green with red triangle at the hoist.

A 1:2 bicolour of a light yellow over a dark green with a right angled hoist triangle of a dark red. The website is roughly translated as: "It's two equal horizontal stripes and a triangle based at the pole and ending on the dividing line of the horizontals, 'púrpura' [purple ?]; the stripes yellow on top and green at the bottom".

The canton of Santa Rosa was formed on 15 October 1859. The placed was named after St. Rose of Lima (1586-1817), the first saint from the Americas, canonized on 2 April 1671 by Pope Clement X

"The flag is made of three equal horizontal stripes and of a purple triangle placed along the hoist and pointing to the limit of the two horizontal fields. The horizontal stripes are yellow on top and green on bottom.
Yellow represents the canton's resources symbolized on the municipal shield by a cornucopia. green symbolizes the greenness of the fields and the hope of the inhabitants for a better future."
