Adopted: 20 May 1992. Ratio: 7:11. Käru is a rural municipality (vald) in Raplamaa County (maakond).

Colors refer to the historic connection with Järva- and Pärnumaa. Wheel refers to the name of municipality (Estonian käru is wheelbarrow). Wheel symbolizes also progress and motion.
