Introduction
Denia is a municipality in the comarca of Marina Alta in the Valencian Community, Spain. (66,2 km² and 44.035 hab, 2008). In the province of Alicante, there are several municipalities that have a monocoloured flag with the municipal CoA in the center.

Description
Denia usa una bandera de color granate de dimensiones 3:5, poco corriente en España, sobre la cual va puesto el escudo de armas de la ciudad, ocupando dos tercios del alto de la bandera.
"Denia uses a maroon flag of 3:5 proportions, uncommon in Spain, upon which is placed on the arms of the city, occupying two thirds of the height of the flag."

Resolución de 21 de septiembre de 2001, del conseller de Justicia y Administraciones Públicas (DOGV núm. 4.117 de 30 de octubre de 2001).
Descripción del escudo:
«Escudo cuadrilongo de punta redonda. Medio partido y cortado. En el primer cuartel, en campo de oro, cotiza de sable. En el segundo cuartel, en campo de oro, cinco estrellas de azur de ocho puntas cada una de ellas. En el tercer cuartel, en campo de plata, castillo de su color, mazonado y aclarado de sable, sobre olas de plata y azur. "Shield oblong with a rounded base. Per fess in chief per pale, 1a. Argent a cotice sable, 1b. Or five eight-pointed stars azure, 2. Argent a castle proper masoned port and windowed sable on waves argent and azure. The shield surmounted with a Royal open crown."
