The Provincial Council of the Province of Cáceres confirmed that there is no provincial flag
According to Manual del Estado Español (text), the provincial arms, adopted on 21 November 1980 by the Provincial Council, are "Per pale, 1. Gules a castle or port and windows azure, 2. Argent a lion rampant gules. All over a cross of Alcá,ntara vert fimbraited or. The shield surmounted by a Royal crown opên set with gems".
