The municipality of La Matilla (78 inhabitants in 2020; 747 ha) is located 50 km north-east of Segovia and 20 km south-west of Sepúlveda.

Flag of La Matilla

The flag and arms of La Matilla are prescribed by an Agreement issued on 6 August 2020 by the Municipal Council, signed on 18 March 2021 by the Mayor and published on 29 March 2021 in the official gazette of Castilla y León, No. 61, p. 15,869 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:

Flag: No. 2. Quadrangular panel in proportions 1:1. Green with a white cross whose arms have a width of 1/6 the panel's width. Charged in the center with the municipal coat of arms in full colors.
Coat of arms: No. 4. Vert a cross argent in the center a roundel gules charged with a caduceus or. A bordure compony of eight or and eight vair. [Crown not mentioned].

The flag was inaugurated on 24 July 2021 (photo, photo; video). Legally prescribed with proportions 1:1; the flag in actual use has the usual 2:3 proportions.
