Description
By Royal Ordinance of 20 May 1786 the design of the new war ensign extends to naval forts, castles and any other [naval] coastal building. Later on the General Naval Ordinances of 1793 order that the flag with the new colors, is hoisted at arsenals, barracks, navy observatories, naval academies etc. Source: Manzano 1997 [mzn97].
