Flag of Zillisheim
The flag of Zillisheim is introduced in the regional newspaper L'Alsace, 29 October 2000.
The flag, designed by Claude Nollinger, Deputy Mayor of Zillisheim, is white with the municipal arms in the middle and the name of the town inscribed in black letters below the shield. The dimensions of the flag are 0.80 m x 1.20 m (proportion 2:3).
The "T" in the arms might refer to a place called Galgen (gallows), in the neighbouring Altenberg forest, where hanging took place in the past.
Before its official release in Zillisheim, the flag had already been seen during the Paris marathon, introducing the town's team of 14 racers.
