The Alliance for Change Party uses two flags, a more formal one consisting of the party symbol (the key) and an informal version without the party symbol with the field diagonally divided. I guess the informal version is easier for supporters to manufacture at home.

Guyana People's National Congress

The flag of the PNC shown here is based on an image of the flag flying outside the party headquarters. It appears that the disc is now larger and the palm tree is green and surrounded by a thin green band.

I located PPP- People's Progressive Party (Guyana) flag at www.pppcivic.org.

Historical flag

I came across a video from 1966 with a shot outside the PPP Headquarters. The flag appears to have the same colours of the present flag however in a slightly diagonal arrangement than vertical. The image is replicated here.

Guyana formerly British, Guyana, it is the only English speaking country in South America. Guyana is 82,978 square miles, slightly smaller than Idaho. Guyana's population is a mere 650,000 people. Almost 1/2 million Guyanese have already emigrated to North America, mostly to the USA, where a 100,000 of them have become American citizens and passport holders. The time has come for all Guyanese to become American citizens; and for Guyana to become a legally incorporated part of the USA, either as a state, commonwealth or territory of the USA! For more details and a view of the new flag please visit www.GuyanaUSA.org.
Robert Rampersaud, 26 November 2000
I haven't heard of this movement before, to establish Guyana as a US state. However, they have a flag - the Guyanan pattern, simplified into red, white and blue.
Rob Raeside, 27 November 2000
I glanced through the website briefly, and they say very explicitly that as a state Guyana would retain their current flag. Based on that I'd say that the red-white-blue version is only that of the movement, not of a notional "State of Guyana."
Theodore Leverett, 27 November 2000
From www.guyanausa.org:
"The New Flag of Guyana, USA
The design of the flag of Guyana, USA! reflects the close ties that bind Guyana and the United States. The New Guyana Flag is the official symbol of Guyana, USA! a political organization devoted to the legal incorporation of Guyana into the USA.
The new flag was created by Guyana, USA! to in order to rally support for the concept of an American Guyana. The flag may one day be adopted as the national symbol and flag of Guyana, USA!
The New Guyana Flag is red, white and blue. Emphasizing the close ties that bind Guyana to the USA. The flag is not typically flown except in company of the U.S. flag."
Andre' Pires Godinho, 23 March 2003
The United Force
image by HV Bhola, 29 September 2007
This is the Flag of The United Force (TUF), a political party in Guyana. I have re-created the image based on pictures of the flag at the TUF website.
HV Bhola, 29 September 2007
The Constitutionof the party says:
"1. NAME AND SYMBOL
The name of the Party is "THE UNITED FORCE" and its symbol is "THE SUN"."
The motto of the party, not mentioned in the Constitution, is "A place in the sun for everyone".
The party was founded on 13 November 1960.
TUF website is: www.tufsite.com.
