Flag of HKS
The symbols of the University of Split are prescribed in Article 4 of the University Statutes, Statut Hrvatskog katoličkog sveučilišta, last amended on 5 June 2013 (text).
The flag is in proportions 2:1, vertical with the logo of HKS in the upper part and the name in Croatian and Latin in silver, and blue stripes in the lower half.
The coat of arms, "In a semi-circular shield gules a Višeslav's cross issuant between letters alpha and omega in chief sinister a stylized eight-pointed star", is not much used; a logo a logo, made of a blue square with the stylized eight-pointed star, seems to be preferred. Although the Statutes prescribe inclusion of the inscription "Lux vera" (True light) in the upper right part of the flag, it seems that this is, in practice, regularly omitted.
