Overview

Based on the Res. No. 32/2000. (X.13.) which modified the original Res. No. 21/1991. (X.08.) of the Community of the Town. The flag is blue. I think the flag is horizontal (common version). The official ceremonial flag has gold edges and gold fringes on the flying end.
Until 1966 - Tiszaszederkány village (its first mention is from 1268)
1966-197? - Tiszaszederkány town
197?-199? - Leninvaros (Lenin's Town)
199?- Tiszaujvaros (Newtown-upon-Tisza).
