Local Council Deir Al-Asad (meaning _Lion's Monastery_in Arabic) is situated in Western Galilee, north to Acre-Zefatroad, near Karmi'el. Founded about 400 years ago and got 7000 Muslim inh. In my visit I saw no flags and I was told it is a white flag with the emblem – but no one remembered the colour. My guess it is either blue or green on white. The municipal emblem was published in the official gazette (Rashumot), 'Publications Gazette' section (Yalkut HaPirsumim), YP 3822, p. 747, 6 December 1990.
