Description
Local Council Kefar Yona (meaning Jonah's village) was named after its founder Yona Fisher. It is situated in the Sharon region, on the road from Netanyato Tul Karem (Palestinian Authority), 7 km East of Netanya. Est. 1932, pop. 9,000.
I spotted two flags in my visit, emblem on red and emblem on light blue. The municipal emblem was published in the official gazette (Rashumot, Yalkut ha-Pirsumim), YP 633, 13 November 1958.

Kefar Yona is an Local Council since 1940 with 11,400 inh. (2003). It is situated beside road 57 (Netanya - Tul Karem). It was founded in 1932, two years after the first ten pioneers arrived to the site to start the preparations and to dig a well.
It is named after Jean Yona Fisher and was first called Gan Yona but renamed soon after. Jean Yona Fisher was the chairman of the Zionist Committee of Belgium who initiated the purchase of the land and died in 1929, and whose son, Maurice, follow his steps.
The emblem is an orange tree in a field. I won't be surprised to see more colors used for flags, beside the reported two variants.
