Description

Local Council Tuba-Zangariyye is situated in the Upper Galilee, east of Rosh Pina . Est. 1903, achieved Local Council status in 1988. Population 4,500, all of them Bedouins from Arab El-Heib tribe.
In my visit on 18 September 2001 I saw a white flag with the emblem in natural colors and no inscription. The municipal emblem was published in the official gazette (Rashumot, Yalkut HaPirsumim), YP 4040, 10 September 1992. There is a small emblem at this webpage so I used the one in the gazette. I made it blue but on the flag it is in natural colours.

Founded as a temporary tent encampment near Ein Tuba(Tuba Spring), and until the 1960' most of its population still lived in tents.
Before the Independence war, the Bedouins of this village decided to have an alliance with the HaHagana and some of them even joined the PALMAH, the HaHagana elite force, and had their own unit known as Pal-Heib. They took part in the defence of Jewish settlements in the Upper Galilee.
