Description of the flag

Indigenous Nationalist Party of Twipra (INTP) was founded in 1967 as the Tripura Upajati Juba Samiti (TUJS) [1, 2]. In 2001, Indigenous People's Front of Tripura merged into it and in 2002, the present party name was adopted [1, 3, 4]. Along with the new name, a new flag was adopted, divided vertically green (1/3 of the length) and white (2/3 of the length), with a red star on red field [1, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9]. During the elections, the star may be replaced by the party election symbol "two leaves", but such flags are never hoisted at the party offices [1]. The same election symbol was used by the TUJS [1]. On the flags, it is depicted in green and its exact design seems to vary somewhat, as well as the size [10, 11, 12].

Indigenous Youth Federation of Twipra

Indigenous Youth Federation of Twipra (IYFT) is the youth wing of INPT. Its emblem is red sun with 16 longer and 16 shorter rays, charged with white abbreviation IYFT [13]. On the flag, it appears on plain white field; the ratio and emblem size seem to vary somewhat [6, 7, 8, 9, 14, 15, 16].

Former Flag

Prior to 2002, the TUJS was using the white-green horizontal bicolor. It was replaced with the current flags when the party was renamed [1].
