The Eurasian Patent Organization, EAPO) is an international organization set up onSeptember 9, 1994 by the Eurasian Patent Convention (EAPC) to grant Eurasian patents, which came into force on August 12, 1995 (Moldova was a signatory and Member in the period 1994-2012). The official language of the EAPO is Russian and its headquarters are in Moscow. It is comprised of the Administrative Council and the Eurasian Patent Office. Купайи" (English: G.D. Kupai). It can be used in different color combinations and it is described as follows: "The emblem represents a globe surrounded by an open ribbon, symbolizing the open nature of the Eurasian Patent Convention." This emblem is currently protected under Article 6 of the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property (administered by the World Intellectual Property Organization(WIPO). The flag is a blue horizontal background with the logo (in inverted colors) in the middle.
