Association of European Market Research Institutes (original) (raw)

This is an obsolete flag. It was found by Dov Gutterman in January 1999 and consists of a deep blue field with a white logo centered. The logo includes a ring of 16 elements surrounded by the full name of the organization in an almost closed arc (open only at the bottom) and in turn surrounding the organization's sigla, AEMRI. The 16 elements are too small in the original image to be absolutely sure, but identifying them as 5-pointed stars is an easy guess. The exact orientation of these stars in the image above is, however, conjectural.

This flag, as I mentioned, is obsolete, because the Association of European Market Research Institutes is no more. It has opened way for a new institution, the Alliance of International Market Research Institutes (AIMRI), which is still reachable through the old URL, http://www.aemri.org. I found no information about a flag for this new incarnation, but the current logo bears striking similarities with the old one.

Being in general quite dull, this flag has a point of interest in its reutilization of the European symbols.
