Overview

"IDLO is the only intergovernmental organization exclusively devoted to promoting the rule of law. It was established as an Inter Governmental Organization (IGO) on January 1, 1983, first as IDLI (International Development Law Institute) and being an NGO, and then transformed to an IGO in 1991 (whileother source states 1988) and changes its name to IDLO in 2002".
