The Khorasan Turks number about 400 000 and live in the provinces of North Khorasan and Mashhad. Their language belongs to Oghuz group of Turkic languages. Most speaks Farsi also.

The flag is a horizontal tri-band of red, white and red with the red crescent and star on white.
