White with arms was in use between 1701 - 1801.

The principality used the Pisa flag after 1233, the Milan flag after 1399, and the banners of the Appiani, Ludovisi and Buoncompagni (lorships of the territory) . In 1801 became under french protection. Until 1805 white flag with shield was used.

According to Roberto Breschi presantation titled: "The Small Italian States Which Lasted Beyond 1700" at ICV 19 (York,2001), this flag was in use until 1801.

1805 Flag

In 1805 Priombino was created as principality for Elisa Bacciochi, sister of Napoleon. As principality used the french colors but seems that in horizontal pattern. The shade of blue should be light.

Roberto Breschi, in his presantation: "Flags in Italy under Napoleon's pressure" at ICV 20 in Stockholm, reported that this flag was the flag of the Principality of Lucca and Piombino in 1805-1809.
