Located in Yokohama City Kanagawa Prefecture and established in 1949. The embroidered ceremonial flag has dark green background with a gold and silver emblem and vertically written in gold kanji university name in gold fringe. The emblem is derived from the three leaves of the olive tree. It is said to symbolize peace and prosperity in the famous story of Noah's Ark in the Old Testament (Genesis 8:11). The three leaves united in one symbolize the triune God and the three educational ideals: intellectual education, moral education, and physical education. The sprouts nurtured by the three leaves represent the young people who gather at Kanto Gakuin University.
