The town emblem was adopted on Jul 1st 1962 by Notice No 12 but there is no flag law. The maroon flag has a white town emblem in the center. The town emblem is stylized hiragana な Na and katakana ミエ Mie. The large circle symbolizes adults, the smaller circle does children and the wings do a soar and a development of one town and five villages. As a whole, it represents a conformity, a freindship, a reconciliation and a solidarity.
