The village emblem was adopted on Feb 10th 1971 but there is no flag law. The purple flag has a white village emblem in the center. The village emblem is a stylized hiragana た Ta of Takayama. The form of a mountain at the upper part symbolizes an image of the village which makes a leap forward and developes. It represents a peace of the village.
