The Flag

The flag of the city of Higashimatsuyama is white with mark.

The city emblem was adopted on Jan 1st 1990 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a green city emblem in the center. The city emblem is three stylized katakana マ Ma of higashiMatsuyama in a form of kanji 東 Higashi and 山 Yama. The umbonal three lines symbolize the citizen who battles with difficulties. As a whole, it represents a steady city administration.
