The village emblem was adopted on May 1st 1979 by Notice No 37 but there is no flag law. The green flag has a white village emblem in the center. The village emblem is a stylized kanji 関川 Sekikawa. The letter 関 symbolizes an image of the villagers who stand their ground and help each other. The letter 川 in a form of a circle symbolizes a reconciliation of the villagers.
