The city emblem was adopted on Sep 20th 1958 by Notice No 27 but there is no flag law. The purple flag has a white city emblem in the center. The city emblem is a stylized katakana チノ Chino. The upper triangles symbolize the city's development and the circle does the city's peace and a solidarity.
