The village emblem was adopted on Dec 28th 1979 by Notice No 101 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a green village emblem in the center. The village emblem is a stylized katakana ウル Uru of Urugi in a form of a tree. The center triangle stands for a growing tree, the circle for the Sun and the villagers' solidarity. It represents an image of the village strongly developing for the future like a growing tree taking root in the earth.
