The city emblem was adpted on Jun 21st 2004 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a blue, a green and an orange city emblem in the center. The city emblem is a stylized G of Gero. The green color stands for a forest,the blue color for a fresh stream and an orange color for the people and a hot spring. It is an image of the city which is healthy and interchanging.
