Susono city adopted its emblem on 18 September 1957 by Notice No. 55; adoption date of flag: 10 November 1980 by Notice No 53 (links in Japanese)
Flag proportion: 2:3
colour of field: deep green (fukamidori iro)
color of emblem: white; five katakana Su ス in Mt. Fuji shape representing the city was formed by five villages.

The five katakana su ス form a star with circle in the middle. Each point of the star forms the shape of Mt Fuji. The emblem shows the 5 former villages tightly bonded, prospering in harmony (represented by the central circle).
