The city emblem and the flag were adopted on Jan 1st 2006 by Notice No 1 and 2. The white flag has a red, a green and a yellow green three color city emblem in the center. The city emblem is a stylized hiragana な Na of Nantan. The four waves symbolize four towns. It represents an image of the city which makes a leap forward to the future and the citizen. The flag proportion is 2: 3.
