The town emblem was adopted on Jan 10th 1957 but there is no flag law. The green flag has a white town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a stylized katakana カナン Kanan in a form of a rising sun. The inner four green spaces symbolize a concord of the former four villages. It represents an image of the town developing like a rising sun.
