The village emblem was adopted in Mar 1966. The village emblem is a stylized kanji 知夫 Chibu. It represents the village peoples happiness, reconciliation, solidarity and unlimited prosperity.
They dont have the village flag but hoist national flag everday and use the national flag at the village ceremony for their flag. They dont use Shimane Prefecture flag either.
Maybe Chibu Village is the only one municipality which has no municipal flag in Japan.
