The flag of the city of Izumo is white with mark.

The city emblem and the flag were adopted on Mar 22nd 2005. The white flag has a red city emblem in the center. The city emblem is a stylized kanji 出 Izu of Izumo in a form of a bird flying to the sky. It represents images of the citizen who opens its hands and the city which developes and makes a leap forward. The flag proportion is 2: 3. The height of the emblem is 670/1200 of the height of the flag. The length of the emblem is 920/1800 of the length of the flag.
