The Flag

The flag of the town of Okinoshima is white with mark.

The town emblem and the flag were adopted on Oct 1st 2005 by Notice No 37. The white flag has a blue and a light blue two color town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a stylized O of Okinoshima in a form of caps of waves of Japan Sea. The outer circle symbolizes a harmony and a peace of mind of the town, the inner white circle does a brightness of the town ,the two waves do an active interchange and an image of the people supporting each other. As a whole, it represents an idea of the town development. The flag proportion is 2: 3. The height of the emblem is 3/5 of the height of the flag.

Fuse Village / 布施村

The flag of the former village of Fuse was white with mark. The village is now, from 2004, part of the town of Okinoshima.
