The town emblem was adopted in Apr 1950 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a red town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a stylized katakana タ Ta of Tadotsu in a form of a knot of Noshi = a ceremonial Japanese paper fold used gift giving. It represents a development and a solidarity.
