The city emblem was adopted on Nov 1st 2004 by Notice No 1 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a green and a blue city emblem in the center. The green color stands for Mt. Ishizuchi, the blue color for Seto Inland Sea and a rich water of Kamo River,the square for a conformity of the merged two cities and two towns.
