The Flag

The flags of the city of Kurume are maroon or greenish (?) with mark. (I guess the red flag was newer).

The city emblem was adopted on Sep 13th 1911 but there is no flag law. The maroon flag has a white city emblem in the center. The city emblem is nine(Ku) stylized katakana ルRu which surround a stylized kanji 米 Me.
