The town emblem was adopted in Aug 1977 but there is no flag law. The blue flag has a white town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a stylized katakana シ Shi of Shingu. Two small circles symbolize local specialty Tachinbana mandarin orange and the large circle does a leaping fish in Genkai Sea.
