The town emblem was adopted on Apr 1st 1972 by Notice No 11 but there is no flag law. The blue flag has a white town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a stylized katakana タ Ta of Tachiarai in a form of a fan. It represents the merger of three villages and unlimitedly developing town.
