White camphor tree flower with red stamen on dark green colour field. Camphor tree is the prefecture tree. White stands for sincerity and passion, dark green for hope and peace. Adopted 11 December 1968.

The prefecture flag was adopted on Dec 11th 1968 by Notice No 450. The flag proportion is 2: 3. and the height of the emblem is 5/7 height of the flag.

The prefecture emblem was adopted on Apr 1st 1936 by Notice No 192. The emblem is stylized three katakana カ Ka=Saga in a form of the peoples taking hands to make a circle which symbolizes spirit of cooperation.

Alternative flag of Saga Prefecture is green with mark.

This is not alternative prefecture flag but Saga prefecture symbol mark adopted on June 1st 1992 by Notice No 299. They have only one official prefecture flag.
The green symbol mark represents Saga and the sea. The green color stands for Saga�s plain field, energy and prosperous future. The center circle symbolizes abundance and development.

Fishery Inspection Vessel Ensign

Saga Prefecture Fishery Inspection Vessel ensign was adopted on Nov 30th 1951 by Notice No 662. The white ensign has blue logo mark of stylized kanji 水 Mizu = water on red horizontal stripe in the center.

The Saga Prefecture Police flag was adopted on Jan 1st 1984 by Saga Prefecture Police Headquarters Orders No 1.
The purple flag has gold fringe charged with a gold sun and rays surrounded by prefecture flower, a white camphor flower, its name in white bottom.
The flag proportions are 17:25
