The Flag

Miyakojima city adopted its emblem: 1 October 2005 by Notice No 1; adoption date of flag: 1 October 2005 by Notice No 203
Colour of field: white.
colour of emblem: blue, green and red; diameter of emblem : 7/10 flag height; a stylized hiragana Mi み.

The emblem is an image of the citizens leaping towards the future, and of the beautiful sea and sky, green land and sun. The flag's ratio is 2:3.
