Overview
Flag and coat of arms of Kedainiai city (Kaunas county - Kauno apskritis, Kaisiadorys district - Kaisiadoriu rajonas) according to my personal observation.
Anon., 24 November 2003
Kedainiai (Kedainiai District) - Field divided per bend golden and blue, black wing of an eagle joined with the leg of an eagle holds a silver horseshoe with three golden crosses. Flag proportions 10:11, finial is a wooden knob with ring. The charge of arms granted in 1627 (replacing the older arms: horseshoe with three crosses and two salmon) by Prince Kristupas Radvila reflects with some humour the marriage of Kristupas Radvila (family arms: black eagle) and Ona Kiskaite (family arms: silver horseshoe with three golden crosses). Kedainiai was the part of Ona's dowry, and the arms means the change of liege of Kedainiai city from the Kiska to the Radvila house.
