Ralf Hartemink's International Civic Heraldry website shows the coat-of-arms of L-Imġarr and says, "The new arms shows a trilithon, a symbol of the neolithic temples found near L-Imġarr".

Ralf Hartemink's International Civic Heraldry website shows the former coat-of-arms of L-Imġarr, Azure a cartwheel Or, which would imply a blue flag with a yellow cartwheel as the former flag of L-Imġarr.
