Hiaure village (De Lytse Jouwer)

Flag: Diagonally divided from top hoist to fly bottom of yellow and green; in yellow the green oat-panicle from the arms.
Hiaure (Frisian: De Lytse Jouwer). The plant on the flag is part of an oat-plant (Frisian: hjouwer), which makes it canting. The village ofJoure in southeast Friesland equally has oats on its Coat of Arms and (old) flag. As indicated before Hiaure is a tiny village in luscious meadows (Frisian: greiden), hence the green color on the flag. The diagonal partition refers to its formerly being in Westdongeradeel.

Description: "In gold a green oat-panicle, in chief with two lapwings of natural colors, facing".
The lapwings are from the arms of vicar Schregardus, who served this village in the 19th century for 40 years. They also symbolize the meadow-birds, who occur here in plenty.
