Adopted 4 March 1986
Effective 1 July 1980 the municipalities of Beuningen and Ewijk were merged to form the new municipality of Beuningen. On 4 March 1986 a flag was adopted with horizontal stripes yellow-orange-red in the proportions 1:2:1.
The main colours of the former municipalities were yellow and red, and to symbolise the merger, the red and yellow were melted together to orange.

Fromhttps://www.demaasenwaler.nl/algemeen/algemeen/44097/eigen-vlag-voor-weurt:
The plan for its own flag comes from the initiative group 4Daagse Doorkomst Weurt-Noord. It has become a fresh flag with a prominent reference to the Waal, using the colors of the Four Days Marches flag and the orange of the Netherlands.
