Village flag

The flag is divided by a very narrow white off-centered cross, yellow-green-purple-blue with a black antlered deer in the yellow field. Source:https://uddel.info/nieuws/bestellen-van-de-nieuwe-uddelse-vlag/

The flag was unveiled on 16 June 2020. The final flag design is a composite of three submitted designs. The winners are Jaap van Vliet, Rebecca Schouten and Svenja Sch�tz. The flag has a special meaning:
�The colors come from the designs. The blue represents the Uddelermeer. The yellow represents the sand on which Uddel is built, the subsoil of Uddel plus the sand drifts around the village. The greenery establishes a link with both the forests and the agricultural background of Uddel. The agricultural sector is an important engine of the economy around Uddel. The last color, purple, has to do with the heather. The red deer symbolizes the wildlife that lives around Uddel. It is a noble animal and it symbolizes strength and life. And the last thing: if you tilt the flag, you see a cross. This makes the link with the religious background of the village.�
