Zevenaar municipality

Population (1 Jan 2003): 25.965; area: 27,66 km². Settlements: Zevenaar (seat), Babberich, Ooy, Oud Zevenaar.
Zevenaar is southeast of Arnhem on the German border, a major border crossing. It got city rights in 1487.
Flag: Three equally wide horizontal stripes of red and yellow with in the center of the yellow stripe a black gothic letter Z.
This flag was adopted 27 Apr 1959 by municipal resolution; it is identical to the (old) municipal arms.
