Snelrewaard former municipality
Snelrewaard is a former municipality in Utrecht province, since 1989 part of Oudewater, and a small part in Montfoort
Flag: at least 2,5 wavy three stripes green - white - green, proportioned 3:2:3, a red hoistdiagonal of 1/4 flagheight
adopted 11 Oct 1973; design Stichting Banistiek en Heraldiek.
The flag is derived from the municipal arms.

Arms: per pale: 1. vert a wavy fess argent; 2. argent a bend gules.
This was designed in 1857 by W. van Dam van Brakel. The (heraldic) right part shows the geographical position: the Hollandsche IJssel flowing through green meadows. The left part has the arms of the Linschotenestate with reversed colors.
