Soest municipality
Population (1 Jan 2003): 44.686; area: 46,47 km²; settlements: Soest (seat), Soestdijk, Soestduinen, Soesterberg.
Flagdescription: seven stripes of green, yellow, green, white, green, yellow and green, proportioned 3:1:3:4:3:1:3, and of which the middle bar is wavy.
This flag was adopted 26 Jan 1962 by municipal resolution. The colors are derived from the municipal arms. The wavy bar represents the river Eem.
Unofficially the citizens used to wapper flags with two equally wide horizontal bars of green and white.
