Since 1 January 1997 Brouwershaven is part of the municipality of Schouwen-Duiveland. The flag was adopted 30 May 1988.

Brouwershaven Coat of Arms, after "Gemeentewapens van Nederland", 1989. Description: per pale I. or an eagle noir, with on its breast an inescutcheon quartered 1 and 4 or a lion rampant gules; 2 and 3 or a lion rampant noir; II. a lion rampant gules. The shield surmounted by a crown or of five leaves. Coat of Arms granted 31 Jul 1817, confirmed 9 Jun 1961.
