Binnenmaas new flag

Binnenmaas is a municipality in Zuid-Holland province. On 1 January 2007 it merged with 's-Gravendeel, retaining its name. In the course of this year Binnenmaas asopted a flag consisting of the municipal logo on a white field. This can be read (according to Stefan Lambrechts) on the municipal pages, on page 9 of the "huisstijlboek" (house-style-catalogue OSLT), which I haven't spotted so far (URL: see flag!).

Binnenmaas was originally founded on 1 January 1984 by the merger of 5 municipalities. According to the mayor they all had in common the presence of the Binnenmaas (or Binnen-Maas or Binnenbedijkte Maas), an old riverbranch in the Hoeksche Waard between Maasdam and Westmaas; at Puttershoek connected to the Oude Maas. A dam was constructed in 1439. It was originally part of the Maas river.

adopted 16 Oct 1980; obsolete 1 Jan 1984; design: Hoge Raad van Adel in collaboration with the Stichting Banistiek & Heraldiek (= Sierksma)

On the FOTW-ws is a flag of the former municipality of Puttershoek in Zuid-Holland province VWV according to Sierksma's Nederlands Vlaggenboek. However this was replaced 16 October 1980 by a design of the Hoge Raad van Adel in collaboration with the Stichting Banistiek & Heraldiek (= Sierksma):
"White with three black fleurs-de-lis, each of 1/3 flagheight; two fleurs-de-lis have been placed on top of each other at hoist-center. The third fleur-de-lis is in flagcenter.

The flag is nearly identical to the Arms; there is only difference in placement. The green-white-green flag, and the ditto flag with arms from 1976, which were unofficial, are obsolete now".
